Wear your work-out clothes and tennis shoes. Read Proverbs 3. Come prepared to have a good time and a light exercise. A food sign-up sheet will be posted at church before the event. I truly believe the fact that we at Friendship had the opportunity to hear this message (and at this point in time) is by no means a coincidence. God is at work in Friendship Church of Christ! And, through these messages, we are asked several questions that will shape what we will look like for many years (decades) to come. 1. Is Friendship Church of Christ willing to let the Bible tell us how much weight a command, example, or implication carries vs. us assigning the weight based on our own subjective view? 2. Is Friendship Church of Christ going to be a unifying body between two polarized factions (conservative vs. progressive)? 3. Is Friendship Church of Christ willing to hold the line, to not draw a line, over disputable matters? Instead demonstrating Love and Understanding with regard to those matters. 4. And Finally, is Friendship Church of Christ going to be a place of PEACE, COMFORT, and LOVE......a place of REST for those weary from this worlds trials and troubles? God bless each of us individually, and God bless Friendship Church of Christ as a whole in this ground breaking........EARTH SHATTERING call to Serve God in and through the Olive Branch and Bridgeforth communities!!!!
